The 2004 Central Region Pro Modified Championship Smash-Off took place on Sunday, May 30th in front of the sold out capacity crowd at spectacular Kil-Kare Raceway Park in Xenia, Ohio.

The event was an incredible display of viscous hits and the will to be the last car running. Many of the Smash-Off drivers were competing to get a spot in the 2005 DENT Super Modified National Championship but when it came down to the end, 3rd Place 2003 Smash-Off Winner Brad Tinkham from Ohio had enough car left this year to become the 2004 Smash-Off Winner. 2nd and 3rd place was John Wylie and Chuck Baker, both from Ohio.

The Smash-Off was filled with drivers going for the prestigious Mad Dog Award. At one time there was 10 drivers in the running for the Mad Dog Award. But when it came down to the two who gave everything they had with full throttle hits, it was Kentucky's Emery Martin and the 2003 DENT Eastern Region Mad Dog, Ohio's own Stacey "Stand on it and Steer" Evans. Making Stacey one of the few DENT drivers who have been successful enough to win 2 Mad Dog Awards. Fans at the end of the 1 Heat Smash-Off gave all these driver a big round of applause in approval of such excellent entertainment.
